@UIUC: FLB & Grad College Professionalization Stuff!!!

The FLB Task Force on Graduate Student Development is planning several
events this year on the academic job search, which are designed to complement
the more general workshops offered by the Graduate College. We'd like to
invite you to attend any or all of the following events:

1. organizing meeting for all FLB grad students interested in the job search: Oct. 4, 5-7pm, 2090B FLB

2. panel discussion on the job search: November 8, 5-7pm, 2090 FLB

3. building-wide mock interviews: Dec. 11 (5-7pm, 2090B FLB), 13 (5-7pm,
2090B FLB), and 15 (10AM-noon, 2090B FLB). (If you let us know you are
interested, we will schedule a slot for you--more information later on this.)

We also would like to alert you to the following Graduate College workshops on the academic job search:

CV Doctor: Sept. 29, 11AM-2pm, Espresso Royale, Undergrad Library (repeated Oct. 13, same time and place)

Interviewing Skills for Academic Jobs: Sept. 26, 3-4:30, 407 Illini Union

Negotiation for Academic Jobs: Nov. 14, 3-4:30, 407 Illini Union
