CFP (of sorts): AHA urging submissions of panels on Asia (15 Feb; 3-6 Jan 07; Washington, DC)

On behalf of the American Historical Association, we would like to encourage
Asian historians to submit proposals for the 2008 Annual Meeting, to be held
Jan. 3-6, 2008, in Washington, D.C. As Chair and Co-Chair of the Program
Committee, we are committed to increasing the geographic and thematic diversity
of its offerings. Members might consider repeating particularly successful
sessions from specialist conferences (such as the Association of Asian Studies)
as a way to bring the latest work in Asian history to colleagues who work in
other fields. More detailed information about the 2008 annual meeting,
including the call for papers, is available on the AHA website. The deadline
