The Department of Anthropology at The Field Museum in Chicago is pleased to accept applications for the 2007 Boone Scholars Internship Program in East Asian Studies. This year we are seeking 1-2 highly qualified undergraduates or recent graduates to work on our Asian collections, especially those from China. The length of the program will be from 2-3 months, depending on the schedules of the interns and staff. Applicants must submit a short essay (about 2-3 pages) outlining their research interests and goals. The deadline for applications is March 30, 2007. These internships are open to juniors, seniors, or recent graduates of academic institutions in Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, or Ohio, with at least a 3.0 GPA (4.0 scale) and a demonstrated, strong interest in East Asian studies (anthropology, art history, history, etc.). Complete applications must include a cover letter, resume, unofficial transcript, essay (described above), and two letters of recommendation.
