Graduate students are invited to submit papers for the Seventeenth Annual Graduate Student Conference on East Asia. Participants gain valuable experience in presenting their work for discussion with other graduate students and some Columbia faculty.

We welcome applications from graduate students engaged in research on all fields in East Asian Studies, including history, literature, political science, art history, religion, sociology, and anthropology.
Proposals for both organized panels and individual papers are welcome.

PARTICIPATION:
Participants can take part in the conference as presenters and/or discussants.

Presenters deliver 15-minute (maximum) talks that summarize research in progress. We strongly encourage presenters to form their own thematically linked 3-person panels.
