Request for Manuscripts for fall 2008 Asia in World History: 1750-1914
Special Section of Education About Asia

Education About Asia (EAA) is the teaching journal for the Association for Asian Studies. Our readers include undergraduate instructors as well as high school and middle school teachers. Our articles are intended to provide educators, who are often not specialists, with basic understanding of Asia-related content. Manuscripts submitted for consideration for publication in EAA are evaluated by qualified referees.

We are in the process of developing a special section in the fall 2008 issue entitled, "World History: 1750-1914." This is the fourth special section in a series based upon the "eras" included in The National World History Standards. We hope this section will be useful for instructors in history and other social sciences. The deadline for initial receipt of manuscripts for this special section is May 15, 2008.

Prospective authors are encouraged to read our guidelines that are available at the Web site in my signature below. Interested potential contributors are welcome to email me about possible manuscript topics.
