Call for reviews and essays: Education About Asia/Asian Educational Media Service
spring 2008 special section

We are pleased to announce a special multimedia section that will be published in cooperation with the University of Illinois--based Asian Educational Media Service (AEMS) in the spring 2008 issue. This is our fifth collaboration with AEMS. AEMS Program Director, Tanya Lee, will be guest editor for the special section. Reviews may address the use of feature
films, documentaries, CD--ROMs, pod casts, and Web sites in teaching about Asia, with an emphasis upon classroom use. We welcome manuscripts on all areas of Asia and on a wide variety of topics.


Reviews should run approximately 500 words (two double--spaced manuscript pages); essays should run about 1,000 words (four double--spaced manuscript pages). Before beginning a manuscript, potential authors should check with both Tanya and our office to ensure that we do not already plan to publish an existing review of the same material in EAA or the AEMS newsletter. It is important that any prospective author read the author guidelines posted at the EAA Web site, http://www.aasianst.org/eaa-toc.htm. Submissions should be sent by email attachment to both Tanya Lee and EAA Managing Editor, Peggy Pollock, by no later than December 20, 2007.
