The editors of History Compass are now inviting submissions for the 2007 Graduate Essay Prize.

GUIDELINES
The prize is open to all graduate students engaged in study at a college or university after their first degree and having not yet completed their doctorate.
Those entering can choose their own topic; however, as with articles already published on History Compass, submitted essays should have a survey element, putting the chosen topic in context for the non-specialist. The incorporation of advanced graduate work is strongly encouraged.
The upper word limit is 5000 words, INCLUDING endnotes and bibliography.
History Compass Graduate Essays should be submitted by email as a Word document to:

Graduates must specify:
- which section they are entering their essay for
- provide the details of their affiliation
- provide their supervisor's name and email address
Only one entry per person.
Winners will be announced at the 2008 AHA conference.
