CFP: Milestone Documents in World History (Encyclopedia)

Call for Writers

Schlager Group, the publisher of the award-winning "Milestone Documents"
series of reference books, is seeking writers for its newest project,
Milestone Documents in World History (MDWH). Aimed at high school and
lower undergraduate history students, MDWH covers 130 of the most
important primary source documents in history. Our unique approach pairs
the full text of the primary document alongside an in-depth analysis
that explains the historical context of the document as well as its
influence and impact. The set covers documents from every region and
period of history (excluding U.S. history), including Africa, the
Americas, the Western World, ancient Greece and Rome, the ancient Near
East, the Middle East, and Asia (China, India, Japan, Korea, Southeast
Asia).

Each entry will include approximately 4,500 words of original analysis.
Every entry will carry the author's byline. We welcome practicing
historians as well as talented graduate students. To receive more
